Vunto started from a simple question: when you face an object you don’t know, what should you do with it? Here’s the story, how we think, and what we promise.
Simple, made with care.
The apps out there fell into two camps: the very general ones (Google Lens), which vaguely tell you what it might be but don’t help you decide; and the very specialised ones for US resellers, in English, with prices in dollars.
Something in between was missing: a tool for the rest of the world. For the person walking through a flea market, the one inheriting a box, the parent with a curious child. For someone who doesn’t want to become a flipper — they just want to know.
Vunto tries to fill that gap. Not as another image-search app, but as a structured second opinion that answers four concrete questions.
We make an estimate based on recent real sales and on what a vision model trained on thousands of objects can deduce from a photo. That’s good for almost everything. It’s not good for signing a certificate.
When something really matters — an expensive piece, an inheritance with sentimental value, an object whose authenticity changes its price tenfold — Vunto tells you to get a second look in person. We don’t replace an appraiser. We point you toward one when it’s needed.
