Use cases

Built for curious people, not for professional flippers.

Vunto helps when you run into an object and don’t know what to do with it. These are the six cases we had in mind when designing it. If your situation looks like any of them, Vunto is for you.

The casual flea-market goer

At El Rastro, at a brocante, or at a garage sale.

You go on a Sunday to see what’s there. You spot something interesting at a stall. The seller asks €40. Is it worth it? How much should you offer? You pull out your phone, snap a photo, and in thirty seconds Vunto gives you the market range and a suggested offer. You decide right there, no going home to google.

The confused heir

A box of things from your grandfather.

You have to empty the house or share out what someone left. There are objects you don’t recognise: a box of coins, an odd clock, a camera, a couple of figurines. Vunto identifies them one by one, tells you which might have real value, which are just keepsakes, and which you can let go without regret.

The curious traveller

Local craft in a market you don't know.

You’re travelling and see a beautiful object you don’t understand: a carving, a textile, an instrument. Someone’s trying to sell it to you but you don’t know whether the price is fair or whether it’s really local craft or factory-made. Vunto identifies it, gives you cultural context, and compares with what other markets charge.

The curious parent

'Mum, dad — and this, what is it?'

Your child finds something at home, in the park, or in a museum and asks. You want to give a real answer, not ‘that’s an old thing’. Vunto identifies the object, explains what it’s for and where it comes from, in plain language. You both learn.

The casual collector

You like certain objects, but you're not an expert.

Vintage of a specific thing: cameras, pens, toys, books. You know more than average, but not enough to validate an expensive purchase without doubts. Vunto gives you a structured second opinion: it identifies variants, flags possible replicas, and compares prices with recent real sales on relevant platforms.

Clearing the garage

Boxes of tools and old clutter.

You’re cleaning up. There are old tools, three-decade-old electronics, your parents’ toys. Vunto helps you decide what to throw out, what to sell second-hand, and what to keep because it has real value — sentimental or market.

Limits

What Vunto is not.

Honesty about the limits. Vunto doesn’t replace a professional appraiser, doesn’t identify people, and doesn’t weigh in on regulated items.

Not an official appraisal

Vunto estimates based on real sales. Only a certified appraiser can sign an official appraisal.

Doesn't identify people

If the photo contains a face, Vunto rejects it. It’s for privacy and respect, not on a whim.

No view on regulated items

Medicines, medicinal plants, weapons, controlled substances: Vunto doesn’t answer about them.
